About the role

Due to the continued growth of Bartons, an exciting opportunity has become available for an Experienced Parts Interpreter to join our award-winning Parts Department at our Capalaba Dealership.

Your primary role will be to support our busy internal workshops and retail sales counter, in addition to:

• Arranging and organising the procurement and supply of parts for our Service Department.
• Controlling and maintaining our back-order system.
• Parts Interpreting.
• Picking and packing service batches.
• Stock control.
• Invoicing.
• Retail counter sales.
• Other duties within our parts division to maintain a clean and tidy environment.

About you:

• Previous experience in a similar role (highly regarded).
• Ability to handle competing priorities.
• Excellent time management skills.
• An ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.

The position is a full time role (Monday to Friday) and requires you to provide high quality, professional administrative support to an extremely busy team.

Throughout your Apprenticeship with Bartons you will develop your knowledge and skills in the automotive trade to become a highly qualified Automotive Technician. This is an amazing opportunity for someone who has a passion for vehicles and all things mechanical to join the Automotive industry.

Throughout your apprenticeship you will receive on the job support from your team members and mentors. You will also attend formal training at TAFE. On completion of this apprenticeship, you will receive a nationally recognised qualification.

In this role you will be responsible for:

• Transporting vehicles between our holding yards and dealerships.
• Coordinating vehicle movements by liaising with Sales teams.
• Prioritising vehicle movements.
• Loading and unloading vehicles.
• Basic truck maintenance including daily and weekly checks, maintaining cleanliness etc.
• Additional duties helping the holding yard team as required.

A bit about you:

• An ability to work autonomously.
